What it is

Inverted nipples can have many causes. They can be present from the early stages of breast development, appear later in life, caused by breastfeeding or appear in some breast cancer cases. In either case, the correction of inverted nipples can be done through minor surgery. Through a tiny, inconspicuous incision, the underlying tissues are released, making the nipple erect.

Nipple Inversion Surgery is performed to:

  • Erect inverted nipples

  • Restore or correct nipple asymmetry

  • Restore a more natural look to the breasts

Options

Nipple inversion surgery is often performed in combination with other surgeries such as Mastopexy or Bilateral Breast Augmentation.

Approximate duration of surgery:

1 hour
