What it is

Sagging or loose skin can be caused be caused by aging, heredity and weight fluctuations. It is, unfortunately, not correctable by diet and exercise. Arm lift surgery can greatly improve the look of saggy and droopy skin. The skin is tightened through incisions that are hidden in the underarm, the inner part of the arm or the back of the arm, depending on the work to be done.

  • Reduce and relocate fatty deposits situated in the arms


Options

Brachioplasty is a surgery that can either be performed on its own or in combination with other surgeries such as Liposuction, Abdominoplasty and Thigh Lift surgery.

Anesthesia

Arm Lift surgery can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation or under general anesthesia. It is best to consult with Dr Rizis in order to establish the best technique for your surgery.


Post-Op Care

Brachioplasty is a day surgery. You can therefore return home the night of your surgery and for the remainder of your recovery. Dr Rizis will see you within the first 5 to 7 days to assess your skin and scar as well as to remove sutures and drains. Recovery continues for a few weeks until the swelling has significantly subsided. Most patients resume normal activities such as work, driving, showering and exercise within the first 10 to 15 days.
