What it is

Growths can be aesthetically unappealing and bothersome to patients. Moles, skin tags and cysts are all forms of growths that can be easily removed by excision. The removal of growths can be done quickly and painlessly and with minimal scarring to restore uniformity on the skin.

Options

Small excisions can be performed at the Medispa and larger, more complex, excisions are performed in the operating room. Most often, excisions are performed alone, but Dr Rizis can also combine the removal of growths during any other surgery.

Anesthesia

Excisions are performed with the injection of a local anesthetic.

Post-Op Care

Excision is a quick and minor surgery. You can therefore return home immediately after your surgery. Dr Rizis will see you within the first 5 to 7 days to assess your skin and scar as well as remove sutures. Most patients resume normal activities immediately after their surgery.

Potential Risks & Complications

Although unlikely, all surgical procedures pose potential health risks. During the pre-operative consultation, Dr Rizis will go over all possible risks and complications as well as pertinent procedure information.
